A microfibre cloth cleans the flat parts of a car and leaves dust packed into everything else: the slats of the AC vents, the seams around the dashboard and screen, the gaps around buttons and the gear lever, the lettering on badges and the spokes of the wheels. These brushes are for exactly those places. The bristles reach into the gap and lift the dust and grime out instead of pushing it further in.

The set has five sizes, so there is one for every gap. From largest to smallest, the heads are 40, 35, 30, 25 and 20 mm across, on brushes 240, 230, 225, 220 and 205 mm long. Use the big ones on wheel faces, grilles and seats, and the slim ones for vents, switches and badges.

The bristles are soft synthetic PBT set in a plastic handle, and the collar holding them is plastic rather than metal, so there is no metal edge to scratch trim if you knock it. There is a hole at the end of each handle for hanging the set on a hook in the garage.

They work dry for dusting the interior, and wet with car shampoo on wheels, tyres, grilles and badges. Keep one or two brushes for wheels only, so brake dust and grit never get carried onto the paint or the dashboard, and on very soft piano-black gloss trim, try the brush on a hidden spot first. After use, rinse each brush in clean water, shake it out and let it dry.
