The centre armrest in most cars is a hard, flat lid that is uncomfortable after twenty minutes in traffic and too low to actually rest an elbow on. This cushion sits on top of it, adding about 7.5 cm of padding and height, so your arm rests naturally while you drive - on the daily commute or the long motorway run to Lahore or Islamabad.

The top is a tray moulded into the cushion: two cup holders side by side for a tea cup, a water bottle or a soft drink can, and a slim slot beside them that holds a phone upright, sunglasses, parking cards or toll receipts. A slip pocket on the side panel takes papers or a small pack of tissues.

It fits with two elastic straps that wrap around the armrest lid itself, not the whole console, so the storage box underneath still opens as normal with the cushion in place. No tools, no adhesive, and it comes off in seconds if you want to clean underneath.

The cover is diamond-quilted black PU leather over a soft padded core, with a rigid ABS tray on top. It protects the original armrest from scratches, spills and wear, and wipes clean with a damp cloth.

Check two things before ordering. Your car needs a padded centre armrest between the front seats - many small cars, such as the Mehran, Alto and Cultus, do not have one. And the cushion measures 35 × 21 × 7.5 cm, so on an armrest lid much narrower than 21 cm it will overhang the sides.
